Workshops

Details for The Region IV Workshops and Meeting January 5-7, 2024

Since not everyone RSVPed, please be sure to forward as appropriate.

The fun begins Friday night with Embassy Suites offering their complementary reception, starting at 5 PM, which is available nightly.

There will be a Hospitality Room in a Presidential Suite (Room number available later) after and probably partially during the Embassy reception.  Be sure to stop by because that’s where Robin’s bingo fun will begin.

Saturday’s Workshops will begin at 8:45 AM sharp.

For those attending/playing walking soccer, the bus will pick everyone up from the hotel at 2:15 PM on Saturday, shortly after the last workshop of the day.

The soccer playing area will be at an indoor facility.  Providence Park wasn’t available.  The good news is that it started raining this week after many days of decent weather in moderate temperatures.  This week, it’s been a bit chillier.  The indoor facility also has an option for drinks and such for those who like beverages.  There is a regular indoor soccer surface and a basketball court, which can be used as a futsal-type pitch for walking soccer with popup goals should we split into groups.

Be sure to bring turf shoes if you plan to play, as cleats won’t be allowed.

The bus will bring everyone back to the hotel to freshen up for the dinner, with hopefully enough time to enjoy more of the Embassy reception before the Region IV Hall of Fame, Lifetime Referee, and Volunteer Awards Dinner begins at 6:30.

You are welcome to join us at the Hospitality Room again after dinner.

The weekend will conclude with a viewing of the 3rd FA Cup of Liverpool vs Arsenal at 8:30 AM.

Oh, no, wait.  That’s not right.  There’s a brief Region IV meeting at 9 AM on Sunday.  We expect a relatively short meeting as we’ll meet again in February.
